Dog friendly places in Manchester

When you’re having a day out with your furry friend it can be hard to find somewhere you can both sit down for a rest. We’ve put together a list of some of our favourite dog friendly places in Manchester so you know exactly where to grab a bite to eat.

The Banyan Tree

Unit 3, Moho Building, Ellesmere St, Manchester M15 4JY

The Banyan Tree doesn’t just welcome dogs, they serve them too. With a designated dog-friendly menu with meatballs and scrambled eggs for the main followed by a puppucino or peanut butter bone biscuits for desserts, you don’t have to worry about your dog going hungry while you stop for a bite to eat. The humans in your group will be well-fed too, with a breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menu full of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and meaty dishes. Grab a couple of 2-for-1 cocktails or a simple soft drink with a bowl of water for your pup to keep you both refreshed.

The Refuge

Oxford St, Manchester M60 7HA

The menu in The Refuge consists of small plates designed for you to mix and match to experience a variety of flavours. Try some tikka octopus or play it safe with chicken thigh and chorizo, safe in the knowledge that your dog is welcome while you satisfy your tastebuds as the staff are happy to accommodate your dog. The restaurant’s located in an old bank and the beautiful interior is a lovely setting to stop for a bite to eat.

Ezra & Gil

20 Hilton St, Manchester M1 1FR

A trendy coffee shop found in the Northern Quarter, Ezra & Gil has everything from a classic coffee, cake and sandwich combination to a poke bowl or a king prawn linguine. No matter the time of day, there will be something on the menu. Staff will be happy to provide a bowl of water for your furry friends so make sure they don’t miss out on the morning coffee walk.

The Wharf

6 Slate Wharf, M15 4ST

The Wharf is found right along the canal so it’s the perfect place to stop and rest your feet (or paws) after a long walk. There’s water and biscuits for the dogs and a delicious range of meals for the people, from pasta to a grilled steak. Head inside on those rainier days or sit in the outdoor terrace and soak up the sun when you have the chance. They welcome well-behaved “on the leash” dogs – all you have to do is make them aware when booking a table!

Trof Northern Quarter

6 - 8 Thomas Street, Manchester, M4 1EU

Famous for their quirky brunch options alongside cocktails and craft beer, Trof Manchester welcomes all well-behaved dogs. They recommend avoiding bringing your furry friends along in the evening for their own comfort since this is their busiest (and loudest!) time of day. They cater for vegan and vegetarian diets.
