Events and Living in Elephant & Castle

Elephant Springs is Elephant Park’s newest oasis, an escape from the hustle and bustle of London life. The natural play area features different water effects, cascading water, waterfalls, babbling streams and bursts that might just catch you by surprise. A wonderfully relaxing place for you to sit back and enjoy some scenery.

Where: Mercato Metropolitano
Mercato Metropolitano has reopened and we’re very excited. Alongside great food and drink you’ll find sheltered al fresco space for socialising and a programme of events that will keep you entertained! Even better, it’s only a five-minute walk from Elephant & Castle station, so easily reachable to any friends coming from other parts of the City.

This festive season Elephant Park is the place to be. Every weekend find musicians and ensembles spreading a bit of Christmas cheer, with music from The Santarinas, Brazen Brass trio, The Carribé Steel band and a Carol Singer Trio. Ever wanted to learn to stitch your own wall hanging? Well, now you can in a two-hour workshop with embroidery artist Katie Wells, every Wednesday between the 1st and 22nd of December. Hosted at the brand new Elephant Stores in Collaboration with the other retailers that occupy the space, the beginner’s class covers all of the basic embroidery stitches from the French Knot to the Lazy Daisy.
